Bye bye Jetsetter badge

My BlackBerry just had to die one day before I'm flying to Bali.
***DAMMIT.
This means I won't be able to check in at Foursquare for all the Bali hotspots I'll be going to.
Byebye my coveted Jetsetter badge. Adios.

When I whined about this to my older sis S, she sneered and said my concerns are not justified. haha. I know. I totally know. I should be concerned that my BlackBerry is dead which means no BBM, no checking emails whenever and wherever and no updating Tumblr or Blogger through mobile device AND MOST OF ALL, no twitter.

BANG! BANG! I might as well be dead.

Back to old fashion Sony Ericsson model for me while my Blackberry is sent for repair. The most painful part to bear is hearing that it will need at least a week (or more) to fix my BB.

Then again ...

I lived without all these heavenly functions of a smartphone for more than 2 months when I stayed in LA this spring.

I will survive.

P.S: I'm off to Bali tomorrow!!!!

APPLE OR CANDY

don't really matter you're both the apple and candy of my eyes!
I'm totally in fangirl mode right now.
You see, this God-beloved person is coming to town early next month and I've decided to shell out moolah to see his beautiful face and breathe the same air as him. Stalker much? hahah.

Kim Bum is gorJAHSSSS.
It sounds ridiculous and bordering on pedo but hey, when the said person is this awesome, I think I should be forgiven for my cougar-ish behavior. Besides, I'm not as gung-ho as some other fans about his upcoming arrival here. For instance, I most definitely won't go to the airport to welcome him. HAHAHAH! That's a little too much for the eternally lukewarm fan that I am. Other valid reason also includes getting killed by my family if I go to the aiport, which is damn far from where I live by the way,  just to scream ecstatically upon seeing his sweaty face. Na-uh..not going to happen. And yes, he'd be sweaty because Jakarta is swelteringly hot and humid.

But all that aside, I'm incredibly happy to see this baby in real lifeeeeee..in about less than 2 weeks. eheh.

My older sister is devastated because she'll be flying to Japan the day of Kim Bum's scheduled arrival here.

The last time Kim Bum flew to London, my sister just flew out of London to Lisbon. Things are just not meant to be for her. So I shall go in her stead while she starts her two-week course in Tokyo and she can live vicariously through meeee.

Life is sweet.

My aunt gave me this candy she bought from Australia that's made the old-fashioned way (I don't really know what that means). A hint of sweetness and nothing more - I love it! The colors of the candy are a bit gross but they are supposedly made from natural food coloring. Like I said, it's an old-fashion candy. The formula used to produce it is more than a century old, as claimed by the candymaker...

Here's to a sweet month ahead!

Warm Room

Boy BFF came to visit last week. He spent 3 days with his colleague here but I only got to see him for a day. What a shame really. Only getting to see your best friend for a day after not meeting for a year is a bittersweet experience. You're so happy you finally get to see each other but time passes so quickly when you're so happy that a day feels like a couple of hours and that's not enough.

at Coffee Bean & tea Leaf eX before we watched Inception with a dozen other friends of friends. I've watched Inception a total of 3 times now, all with different friends, and I still have questions unanswered such as,

if the team had to speed up their mission, how come they still ended up using all ten hours in real time and waking up only upon arrival in LAX? So one might argue that they finished the inception way ahead of time but since their bodies were heavily sedated for up to the duration of the flight, they still woke up ten hours later as scheduled. If this is so, then it would mean that the team had to stay in the first level of the dream for up to a week. The only way to get back any earlier than that would be to kill themselves but the sedatives would render them in a limbo and they would wake up with blank minds. So all these don't compute, you see.

My girl BFF here, whom I went to watch the movie for the third time with, told me I'm just too geeky with my maths.

me, my sister, SJ and SJ's friend.

I made SJ use foursquare now, by the way. Everyone should try it too just so that I can stalk you all. hahah. Kiddn'.

Also, this is just for my personal dream note**, but last night I dreamt of an adventure involving:

- taemin in what is supposedly his house
- an unfamiliar face who's supposedly my cousin and second cousin to taemin and that's how we all end up hanging together
- a plastic see-through faux briefcase with doodles on it that says 'minjun' and 'castle vania' et cetera
- excess baggage at some airport
- 5 chinese wearing matching blue-yellow outfit who stole my excess baggage and end up getting slapped by me. HARD.
- a library and a department store selling fruits and flowers.

** Long before I watched Inception, I used to get very frustrated when I couldn't remember dreams I wanted to remember so I learned to focus my mind and practiced a way to remember my dreams. Over the years, I got better at it and now I am able to retain details from my dreams pretty well when I wake up. I can tell how much time I need in the dream to remember it and to determine whether I can recall it once I wake up. Sometimes I don't realize that I am in a dream but I just know that I want to remember what happens and whenever I do that, I'd remember the details 9 out of 10 times. Then I blog about them while they are still fresh in my mind so I can look back and reminisce those sweet dreams.

What Part of Forever

My brother and I went to Kali Barat area to look for art materials but it turned out that the store he was looking for is located in an über narrow alley lined with shacks-like tiny sweatshops that clearly act more as manufacturers rather than retailers. My driver was clearly frustrated while trying to navigate his way out of the ghetto area. I think he was also scared that the car would be scratched. Needless to say, we didn't bother trying to look for the store at all and there wasn't any spot to park the car anyways. The alley was barely wide enough for our car to drive through. So we ended up going to the nearby Toko Gunung Agung instead and I bought four books for only USD15. Score. Two of them are books on daily french phrases and the other two are local novels. I'll review them one of these days :)

One of the two novels is written by a blogger/photographer whose name I totally forgot right now. I'll check on it again. But anyways, the paper quality is bad beyond belief. How could the publisher print the novels using such low quality paper that might as well be used for newspapers? The other novel is The Naked Traveller by Trinity. One of the sales staff told me there's a The Naked Traveller 2 but I told him I'm only getting the first one to see if it's any good...first. He was really nice though - carrying my purchases around while I look for more books, unlike the two really rude sales girls at the teashop outside the bookstore.

A couple of hours later, we drove by CCF Jakarta as I told my brother earlier that I wanted to register as a member there to make use of the books and other facilities but alas, I forgot to bring two recent photos so they couldn't process the registration. I just have to go there again tomorrow. It's a quaint little place filled with french stuff! I wish I had my camera with me so I could take pictures of it. My brother told me he's interested to take up classes but the earliest course won't begin till late September. I probably would sign up for it as well, just to kill time and find friends to practice speaking French with.

And...my sister finally uploaded several photos we took at Geoffrey's in Malibu, CA. Fond memories there. A* Girl thought the waiter who served us was a real charmer so we asked for a photo opp together and voilà!

as for the title, I'm currently listening to this on repeat, so yeah, self-explanatory.

bisous, mars.

After reading Styleandthecity.com

That's it.
I want my (future) kids to grow up in Paris.

I miss Paris dearly.
I envy the people who are there right now.

Facebook dilemma

STOP TAGGING ME IN PICTURES, is what I want to say to whoever uploads my pics on Facebook.
I'm going to be very selective about who and where to take pictures from now on. She was right. I should stop taking random pictures and stop letting others take random pictures of me because sometimes, I don't want to remember the times those pictures were taken. Sometimes, I just want to forget them all and move on.

Sometimes, I just want to forget.

Baptized in blacklight

So this is how it ended. You and I.
Regret, pity, love. I have none of those, I guess.
I'm learning.

What happened?
Just like that line from 500 Days of Summer:
"What always happens. Life."
I even rewatched it again today.

These words I cannot say
will kill me someday

Love like this

This is what happens if you let guys take over your room. Stuff all over and the bed is never made in the morning. This picture was taken about a week ago, right when my apartment was in chaos and resembling a shipwreck from all the packing and junk. I miss it already. So many good memories there.

new ipad :)

Please recommend me good apps to download.

I just love gadgets.
Now I can record better videos with this.
